Bernmobil has been relying on Gilgen's services and products for some time now. "We have already installed over 60 industrial doors, sliding doors and hall closures ourselves or are responsible for their maintenance," says Gilgen project manager René Fankhauser. In the case of the recently realised sliding-folding doors in bus hall 1, the two old doors were dismantled and disposed of. The running rail in the floor was pointed out over the entire length (20 metres) and disposed of, and the new running rail was installed and cast back in flush with the floor. "The big challenge during the entire construction phase was that the installation was carried out during existing operations," explains René Fankhauser. And he adds: "We worked in different work blocks. This required optimal scheduling of the work to be done." Furthermore, a safety roller shutter, a roller shutter and a high-speed door were installed. Another important aspect was the excellent communication between the architects, the electrician, the builder and all the other parties involved in the project.
