They are funny, sometimes mischievous, they pick up on current social media trends and they show insights into different professions: The posts on the Tiktok and the Instagram account ‘gilgenlehrsystems’ entertain and inform. They are intended to draw attention to the training opportunities at Gilgen Door Systems - at eye level.
From boys for boys
In order to fill the apprenticeship positions, Gilgen meets young people where they are: On social media. A project team of eleven apprentices and two senior vocational trainers took up the challenge last year and now actively runs the Tiktok and Instagram accounts ‘gilgenlehrsystems’. Just recently, the apprentices achieved their greatest success: they reached over 45,000 views with a video on Tiktok.
Smartphone as a tool
The social media posts are created in a relaxed and creative atmosphere in which ideas can sprout and flourish. The students learnt the necessary skills in a short video course, as well as through practice and mutual feedback. Marketing provides support from a technical perspective and supplies materials such as tripods and gimbals. Otherwise, Gilgen's new recruits simply use their own smartphones to make an apprenticeship in Schwarzenburg appealing to the digital youth.
