The DNA of our PSD products combines high safety level, long term reliability, outstanding performances and stylish design with high quality finishes. Our PSD systems embrace the “Swiss-made” spirit: we design, manufacture and assemble our PSD systems in Schwarzenburg near Bern in Switzerland. Then, our installation experts manage the installation, the commissioning and the integration of the PSD into the transportation system where they belong.
Based on the approved design by the customer, Gilgen produces the PDS elements with high quality Swiss‑made components. Some parts are directly manufactured in our factory in Schwarzenburg, some parts are locally sourced using our network of long-term suppliers with who we work in trust. Once the parts are available, our core components (electronics and driving mechanisms) are assembled in our factory by Gilgen’s teams. All elements are quality controlled and tested according to project and internal requirements and prepared for shipping.
Within our design office, our or team of engineers and technicians follow international standards and internally developed methods to design the PDS system in compliance with our customers’ specifications adding added value based on Gilgen’s experience whenever possible such as safety in design approach. Our design is definitely particular and procures to the final product a feeling of quality and robustness.
Wherever our PDS product is installed, Gilgen deploys experienced personal to supervise the PDS installation so the finished product meets customer’s expectations. With safety being our first priority during the installation, Gilgen works jointly with the customer and all project stakeholders to maximise installation efficiency timewise in a “best for project” approach using experience gathered on previous projects (new transportation system or retrofit).
Thanks to the high quality of our Swiss made PDS product, once the installation is completed, Gilgen personal test in-situ the Platform Screen Doors and quickly perform all testing to demonstrate PDS performances. The PDS system is now available to support the transportation system integration testing
