Toulouse TOA Line A

Gilgen Door Systems delivered its first platform screen door (PSD) system for Toulouse Metro Line A, France. The project included the installation of 180 automatic doors across 18 stations, covering over 1,000 meters of platform edge.

Originally installed in 1993 and expanded in 2003, the system was later modernized to support longer trains and increased passenger capacity. The upgraded PSDs ensure:

• Enhanced passenger safety
• Optimized boarding and alighting
• Efficient train operations

This project marked Gilgen’s entry into the PSD market and laid the foundation for further international metro collaborations.
