At the finish of the first stage

"The accommodation, steeped in history, has been upgraded by the two new owners Jérôme de Meyer and Marco Dunand and relaunched for the summer season," explains Gilgen project coordinator Dominique Brouchoud. For the new bijou in the centre of Villars-sur-Ollon, Gilgen worked with the owners and the metalworkers to design two fire doors and a sliding door in the in-house rôtisserie.

"The showpiece is also the big challenge: the existing main entrance door - a sliding door with leaves weighing 147 kg each; we were able to install this special construction together with the metalworker," says Brouchoud, visibly proud. And adds: "That was only the first stage. We hope that we will be able to do it again with the other conversions.
