When the ten sliding doors with side panels from Gilgen open, the brand new Dixence Resort in the Val d'Hérens offers a phenomenal view of the Grande-Dixence dam and the Dent Blanche Alpine panorama.
The Dixence Resort in Hérémence is located 1’750 m2 above sea level. In the middle of the Les 4 Vallés ski area and nestled in the valley, a unique resort with a hotel, almost 100 chalet-style flats and a thermal bath including its own spring has been built in recent years. The resort is located very close to the Grande-Dixence - the highest dam in the world - and offers magnificent views of the Dent Blanche Alpine range.
Gilgen virtually opened the door to this view with its ten sliding doors with side panels and three fire doors. "For this project, we once again worked with the architects from MJD in Haute-Nendaz - we have already realised several other projects with them," says Gilgen project manager Dominique Brouchoud, explaining the circumstances. The last two doors were delivered in September. This will be followed by the inauguration of the hotel and the apartment building before the thermal spring is also opened at the end of the year.
