Supply chain & suppliers

Sustainable through cooperation and partnerships

We continuously drive the sustainability of products and solutions by combining economic success, social responsibility and environmental protection in our business activities and enabling our customers to fulfil the current and future needs of society.

Code of Conduct
Code of Conduct

The principles of our Code of Conduct are reflected in our long-term supplier collaborations and partnerships. The sustainability performance of our supply chains and thus the cooperation with our suppliers for their further development is important to us. Our Code of Conduct for Suppliers sets out our expectations with regard to their performance in the areas of the environment, social affairs and corporate governance.

We implement the obligations arising from the Swiss Ordinance on Due Diligence and Transparency with regard to Minerals and Metals from Conflict-Affected Areas and Child Labour (VSoTr), which defines the due diligence obligations in the supply chain for imports and processing of minerals and metals from conflict-affected and high-risk areas. To ensure fair working conditions in our international activities and supply chains, we comply with the regulations against modern slavery. The determination of the status of the supply chain and the introduction of a system to identify and assess risks along the supply chain is implemented on an ongoing basis.

Local sourcing

Whenever possible, we pursue a multiple and local sourcing procurement strategy that reduces supplier dependency and increases flexibility and availability. Gilgen has set itself the goal of entering into long-term collaborations and partnerships and continuously expanding its procurement base.
