We know the legal requirements and use suitable control measures to ensure compliance with the legal requirements of environmental standards. Continuously improved processes optimise the company's ecological performance and reduce the negative impact on the environment.

Waste and waste products are minimised and recycled wherever possible. As our main raw material, aluminium, both coated and uncoated, is fed into the recycling loop. The aluminium we use contains a recycled content of approx. 75%

The powder coating applied to our profiles is one of the most environmentally friendly and modern paint systems currently available. The powder coatings consist of heavy metal-free pigments and are solvent-free. In addition, the processes used by our suppliers are very resource-friendly and the efficient powder recovery achieves a higher degree of utilisation.

Our internal recycling management system ensures that all materials that are no longer used are taken back from our construction sites and properly recycled. We are also increasing the rate of repairs rather than replacements. We therefore endeavour to source, produce and assemble locally wherever possible and sensible.

Our fleet of several hundred vehicles is regularly renewed and complies with the latest emissions regulations. To further reduce CO2 emissions, we use electric vehicles wherever possible and offer our visitors and employees charging stations at our head office.

Thanks to the decentralised locations of our customer service, we are represented regionally and thus reduce the mileage of our operations. We avoid and reduce CO2 emissions by carefully weighing up and evaluating transport routes during procurement and by planning transport when delivering our products.

In cooperation with the Institut Bauen und Umwelt (IBU), we prepare environmental product declarations (EPDs) for our products based on the international ISO 14025 standard. Ecologically optimised and environmentally friendly products and systems that are manufactured and operated meet the highest environmental standards throughout their entire life cycle wherever possible. We achieve this by replacing old technologies and investing in new ones. We are therefore committed to providing the necessary resources, structures and services to manufacture and operate ecologically optimised products and systems in the most environmentally friendly way possible.

By digitising our processes and documentation, we are increasing the paperless scope of our business transactions. By increasing the use of reusable packaging, we are reducing the consumption of packaging materials.
