Gilgen Connect IoT

IoT: Intelligent building technology

Comfort in a building means that the air quality and room temperature create a pleasant atmosphere. On the other hand, it is convenient for operators and those responsible for building technology if they utilise networking with Gilgen Connect, for example through targeted door planning and automated processes that ensure better availability during operation.

IoT opens the door for companies to a new era of increased efficiency and data utilisation, which makes it possible to develop customised solutions for you.

Sustainability

How does Gilgen Connect contribute to sustainability?
The answer is quite simply explained using an example: if you as a customer have to report a fault, you have already exhausted your options for a solution. Although our technician can help in some cases with solutions and questions, he often has to drive the service van to you. At least that was the case until now...

However, our service technicians can now access your door systems remotely via the Gilgen Connect IoT Gateway. Faults that can be resolved in just a few clicks no longer need to be rectified on site. This saves unnecessary vehicle kilometres and reduces CO2 emissions.

With Gilgen Connect IoT, we as a manufacturer and you as a customer are helping to reduce fuel consumption.

Remote access and monitoring
Remote access and monitoring

The Gilgen Cloud Dashboard revolutionises the management and control of your door systems: real-time insights, diagnostic tools and remote troubleshooting - at the click of a mouse, you have a detailed insight into the status of your door systems.

This makes guesswork about possible sources of faults a thing of the past. You can access error logs virtually and localise even the smallest problem precisely. This is because innovative functions report everything from defective sensors to connection problems.

And best of all, the technology allows you to rectify faults directly on your device with just a few clicks.

An error message is immediately displayed to the person responsible. This means that remote access
can be used to intervene immediately and restore operation. You can define yourself whether your employees are authorised
to operate these door assets or whether this is a Gilgen service technician or even a third-party manufacturer.

The IoT Gateway connection not only reports technical faults when the product has already failed.
Anomalies are recognised earlier, for example through a maintenance message.
This allows building technicians to react in good time before a fault occurs in the system.

Faults can often be resolved using the Reboot function. You or our technicians can now do this remotely.
This means that with 100 doors, there is no longer any need for a single person to walk from building to building, or on numerous floors.
