Shanghai Metro

At present, metro line 9 - also known as the Shensong line - runs from Caolu to Songjiang South Railway Station in the south-west of Shanghai. Over a total length of around 45 kilometres, thousands of passengers can board and alight from this underground line at 35 stations every day.

For the first project in China, Gilgen Door Systems supplied core components for half-height platform doors for this retrofit project for 600 door openings. 

Based on this success, Gilgen Door Systems subsequently supplied the high-quality core components for a total of more than 1,000 doors for various other projects in China (in Shanghai, Beijing and Guangzhou).
