The University Hospital Carl Gustav Carus Dresden offers medical care at the highest level. As a maximum care provider, it covers all areas of modern medicine. In 2018, the new Building 32 was opened, which houses a surgical emergency department as well as 17 state-of-the-art operating theatres, an intensive care unit, interdisciplinary outpatient clinics and 132 beds in four nursing wards. It is one of the largest hospitals in Saxony. Gilgen Door Systems has installed opaque sliding doors in the sanitary building complex.
