Queen Elizabeth Hospital
Opened in 2010, the QE Hospital runs the largest organ-transplant programme in Europe, as well as being the UK’s main centre for kidney transplants in particular. This specialised national centre for liver, heart and lung transplants, plus cancer research, also houses the world‘s biggest single-storey intensive care unit.
