Stockholm City Line

Stockholm City Line

The City Line was developed to cope with the flow of commuters in Stockholm by public transport. To this end, an additional underground section was built and two new stations were planned in Stockholm's city centre. Commuter, regional and intercity lines use this new tunnel with "heavier" trains compared to classic underground trains. The platform screen doors were equipped with larger doors for this purpose; the total length of a platform is around 250 metres. Gilgen Door Systems equipped 6 platforms in 2 stations with full-height PSDs, totalling 168 door openings over a length of 1.5 km.
